How the counting works
- Visitor = one browser (a phone or a computer). Visit = one time they opened the site. Returning = a browser seen before.
- Channel = where they came from: a sticker QR, a tagged link, the referring website, or the app they were in. Facebook, Instagram and TikTok often hide the referring site, so their in-app browser gives them away.
- Location is approximate, from the IP address. On cell data it often shows the carrier’s hub city rather than the person’s town.
- Time on site only counts while the page is on screen and in front.
- Home group (RSVPs table): answers from the same home Wi-Fi share a label like H3, so one family isn’t counted twice. “Public / cell” means a phone network or public Wi-Fi shared by strangers, so no grouping.
- Expected souls = the middle of the “yes” range plus half of the “maybe” parties. “Yes, we’re counted” answers add nobody. “Don’t ask me again” is counted on its own.
- Tests (
?rsvp=preview) and host devices (?host=1) are left out unless “include tests & hosts” is ticked. - Click any bar, slice or heat-map square to filter everything by it. Use Save view to keep a set of filters and charts.
